This week marks one of the highlights in the UK IT calendar; the UK IT Awards 2019. The BCS and Computing UK IT Industry Awards are a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence.
And this year, CANCOM is up for IT Project Team of the Year – we’ve been nominated for our sterling work for PPL and PRS for Music, the joint venture between the UK’s two music collecting societies.
Paul Fletcher, Group CEO, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT: “Congratulations to CANCOM for being shortlisted, they clearly demonstrate the highest levels of excellence and innovation across today’s IT sector. These awards showcase some of the most inspiring and best in our industry, and it is a significant achievement to be shortlisted.”
The UK IT Industry Awards celebrates organisations of all sizes, and across every sector, in the whole industry. What really sets it apart is its unique, rigorous and independent judging process.
Martin Hess, CANCOM UK, Managing Director: “What a fantastic achievement, congratulations to everyone at CANCOM who worked so hard to get us to the final!”
Hear More About Our Nomination Story from the CTO of PPL
In this short video, Mark Douglas, PPL’s CTO explains how CANCOM helped to make this Modern Workplace Transformation Project a true success story.
- Two previously separate music licensing bodies joined forces to make music licensing simpler
- In a greenfield site (in quite literally an empty-shell of a building) we built a cloud-first, 360 modern workplace from the ground-up
- This was an amazing opportunity to provide best-practice cloud strategy, operations and security...
“I can’t hire all the experts I need in-house; I need to find a breadth of skills in one, reliable partner. CANCOM has that”
Mark Douglas, CTO, PPL
